Allied Enterprises, the Emerati subdivision of the Chalhoub Group designer clothing retailers, has announced an ambitious plan to open more than 40 stores in Abu Dhabi alone in the next few years.  The retailers of over 280 lines include such brands as Chanel, Caroline Herrera, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, and Michael Kors, and plan on increasing their footprint due to research showing Abu Dhabi as a prime market for high-end fashion.

Three large malls are being constructed, and Allied indicated that 12 stores will open within them by the end of this year.  This would bring the total number of Allied-owned stores to 28, with plans of opening an additional 14 shortly thereafter.  Numbers expected soon should show sales for this year to be up by 10%.
