Kan Yuenyong is a co-founder and executive director of Thailand-based Siam Intelligence Unit (SIU), a private think tank and research service on various social, environment, business and economic issues in Thailand. He studied computer science, economics and has graduated in Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Chulalongkorn University. His strength is the ability to synthesise multidisciplinary backgrounds together. He is now studying in the advanced certificate course on Promotion of Peaceful Society (class 3) at King Prajadhipok's Institute.
Kan is specialised in geopolitics. He is a co-principal investigator and responsible for geopolitics and public policy section on TrendNovation Southeast, a monthly Southeast Asia foresight journal. Moreover his analysis on Thai politics is frequently quoted by local and global media outlets, i.e. Reuters, Christian Science Monitor, AP and China Radio International (CRI).
Kan is Asia21 alumnus (c/o 2011) at Asia Society, and was selected by the Fredrich Naumann Foundation to represent Thailand in seminars on Strategic Planning 2009 and New Public Management 2009, held at the International Academy for Leadership, Germany. He formerly worked at Internet Thailand Public Company Limited.
