China Malaysia Bilateral Agreements

Reading Time: 1 minute

China and Malaysia have yet again partnered and strengthened economic ties.  Trade between the two countries has been growing at a rate of 20% in the past few years, so this is the continuation of a fruitful partnership.  The Chinese Premier and Malaysian Prime Minister signed into agreement contracts on Wednesday to boost infrastructure, communications, and energy investment.

One contract called for the implementation of telecommunications infrastructure and access, while another helped to fund a coal-fired power plant.  During their series of bilateral meetings in Malaysia’s capital, both leaders proclaimed an interest in continued international partnerships with each other.
