Inside Investor Forum Asia opens avenues

The Inside Investor Forum Asia 2012, one of the most influential investment events that have been staged in Doha this year held on October 8 to 9, 2012, saw a number of high-level keynote speeches, panels on bilateral investment opportunities and networking sessions that prompted decision makers, top executives and officials of the GCC and ASEAN to closer scrutinise possible ventures in both regions in a move to establish concrete business partnerships.

Inside Investor Ltd at the Inside Investor Forum Asia 2012 has forged a strategic alliance with Tasweek Real Estate Marketing and Development, a Dubai-based leading property advisor and solutions provider, as part of its global expansion efforts, the companies announced on October 8.

Aisha Alfardan, Vice Chairwoman of the Qatari Business Women’s Association (QBWA) and personal advisor to the chairman of Qatari company conglomerate Alfardan Group, on October 09 held a keynote speech at the Inside Investor Forum Asia 2012 on behalf of the QBWA.

Sarawak CM meets Qatar Prime Minister

Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud had an audience with the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Jassim Jabr Al Thani, during the Inside Investor Forum Asia 2012 in Doha on October 8. During the courtesy call, Taib had the opportunity to brief his host on the progress and development of Sarawak in terms of investment opportunities, according to a statement issued by Qatar’s state information department.

The event was being held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr Al Thani, Qatar Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and has strategically received support from the Qatari Businessmen Association. A number of influential leaders from the Southeast Asia and GCC business world were present, including those in infrastructure, healthcare, financial services, agriculture, energy and industry, and education.

Business ethics driven by women: Rosmah

The wife of the Malaysian prime minister, Rosmah Mansor, on the Inside Investor Forum Asia 2012 urged women to take a more active role in companies and organisations in order to strengthen business ethics. According to her, women could play an important role in strengthening ethics in business because their nature of being mothers and nurturers required that they imbued trust in the relationship they built and developed.

AEC formation awaiting consensus on date

The formation date of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and the implementation of a currency authority for the ten ASEAN member states were discussed by ASEAN Secretary-General Surin Pitsuwan at the Inside Investor Forum Asia 2012 held on October 8 and 9 in Doha, Qatar.
