3 doors of horror1Three young Malaysian filmmakers, Leroy Low, Ng Ken Kin and Edmund Yeo, have joined to produce a horror movie compilation showcasing the young talent that the Malaysian movie industry has at hand.

The movie, whose premiere screening took place at Toccato Studio in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, on August 17, is called 3 Doors of Horrors and comprises of three films.

The horror anthology opens with Low’s short “I Miss You Two”, with a seemingly innocuous plot — a young man shooting a video log, looking for two childhood acquaintances.

Yeo’s “Floating Sun” is a formulaic horror story that haunts not with cheap scares but questions revolving around a mysterious girl floating in the water.

The last film, Ng’s “Horror Mission” tells the story of a production company intern trying to bring back the lead actress to the studio – but she is unfortunately possessed by a malevolent spirit.

Critics meant that “while uneven in parts, 3 Doors of Horror is a worthy watch and a good showcase of local talent:”
