Malaysia’s Holiday Villa takes over Swiss hotel

Holiday Villa Hotels and Resorts, one of the leading Malaysian hotel chains, said on June 19 that is has acquired a 58-room boutique resort in Switzerland. Formerly known as Posthotel Arosa, this winter resort will now be rebranded as Posthotel Holiday Villa Arosa.

The village of Arosa is one of the top three winter resorts in Switzerland and famous as an alpine health resort since 1877.

Arosa is 109 kilometers away from Zurich International Airport. There are hourly and direct train connections to the city of Chur. From there, a train ride of about one hour takes guests up to Arosa and right to the Posthotel Holiday Villa.

The  resort’s debut marks the third Holiday Villa hotel operating in Europe after Holiday Villa hotels in London and Paris.

Holiday Villa Hotels & Resorts is a member of Advance Synergy Berhad. The Holiday Villa group presently operates 33 hotels in 12 countries of which 21 are in operation and the rest is slated to open within two years. They are located in Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Sudan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UK, France and Switzerland.
