‘Most handsome’ Arab makes Vietnamese girls sob

Omar-Borkan-Al-Gala2Omar Borkan Al Gala, the “most handsome Arab” who came to fame after he was given marching orders from Saudi Arabia in April 2013 over concerns he might bee “too sexy” for female Saudis has made an appearance in Ho Chi Minh City from September 11 to 13 and has reportedly left countless Vietnamese girls and women sobbing.

“I have fallen in love with him,” “excessive handsome”, “deadly beautiful eyes”… were among a series of compliments in Vietnamese on social media over Omar who is an actor and photographer from Dubai, UAE.

A fan group has quickly established in the name “The society of the people who are crazy for Omar Borkan Al Gala”. The group has immediately attracted thousands of followers.

Omar participated in a programme called “Connect Dreams” on the evening of September 13 where he catwalked with Vietnamese models and talked to the audience. Earlier, he auctioned some belonging to raise money for charity, and fans could auction for having a two-hour dinner with him starting at 20 million dong ($1,000).

He also paid a visit to the Hoa Binh Village at Tu Du hospital and Cho Ray Hospital and did some fashion shooting and shots with disabled Vietnamese children.

After the Saudi incident, the Canadian government granted Omar a permanent resident visa to live and work there. Currently, he is concentrating on his film career in Canada and also plans to launch his own fashion brand.
