Last year’s ABA was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. 2013’s host is Brunei.

The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (Abac), a joint organisation of the ten-member bloc that aims to provide private sector feedback and guidance to boost ASEAN’s efforts towards economic integration, has launched the search for 2013’s ‘Most Admired ASEAN Enterprises’ through the ASEAN Business Awards (ABA), which recognises business enterprises in the region that have contributed to the growth and prosperity of the region’s economy.

The ABA is an annual event that aims to showcase homegrown and globally competitive companies that are becoming role models for aspiring ASEAN companies in supporting their growth and quest to become globally competitive.

ABA confers the ‘Most Admired ASEAN Enterprises’ for large, small and medium enterprises under four categories, namely growth, innovation, employment and corporate social responsibility. This year’s ABA has introduced the Young Entrepreneur under Innovation category, giving importance to the role of the youth as contributors to economic development in the region.

In 2012, 26 ASEAN companies won recognition from ABA in various categories.

This year, the ABA will be held in Brunei. More information on how to participate can be found here:
