Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Nijab Razak has been summoned to Saudi Arabia for a special private luncheon.  The invitation was extended by the king himself, His Majesty King Abdullah.  They will discuss Malaysia’s growing interests in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Coast Region.

After the luncheon in Saudi, the Prime Minister plans to head to Qatar.  He will meet with the Prime Minister and the Emir of Qatar to discuss trade options and investment opportunities.  They also plan on discussing Malaysia’s role, if any, in helping distill the political struggles in Bahrain and other GCC countries.  It is Nijab’s first visit to both Saudi Arabia and Qatar.  In order to meet King Abdullah’s schedule, several Malaysia meetings were pushed back to the unheard-of time of 7:30 am!
