Scared of FY17 Budget cycle? Do it the Anaplan way…

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Business planning and modeling is an art and requires complete understanding of business processes, combined with the ability to visualise an organisation’s growth trajectory, target markets and resources and to execute new ideas by translating them into quantitative and achievable targets. Agility, flexibility and self-reliance are the key for successful planning exercises.

Over the last decade, organisations have tried various ways to automate and streamline annual, monthly and weekly planning cycles either by making use of spread sheets or sophisticated IT systems combined with spread sheets. However, we have still not realised the success we are in search of. Why is that?

I am a seasoned EPM practitioner with 15+ years and hundreds of project hours logged, however, in my last three years that I spent with Anaplan I have personally experienced the change and results that a cloud-based planning platform can provide. We have 60+ customers in Asia Pacific, with some of the largest based in the Philippines. Each of them is moving away from the traditional approach to budget preparation and is unlocking a real-time, interactive approach to planning and performance tracking.

With Anaplan, planners are now self-serviced in the execution of end-to-end planning projects – completely in-house.

Too good to be true? Hear what our customers and our Certified Anaplaner have to say:

“My team had two days of the basic Anaplan training and we were already able to build our models from scratch in under four months’ time (supplemented by self study through Anaplan’s online resource). We have been using Anaplan since for our budgeting, forecasting and management reporting processes.

The tool is very powerful, immensely flexible and really suited for business in a similar dynamic and competitive environment such as ours. More importantly, our ability to understand the drivers of the business down to their most granular levels has increased tremendously, enabling us to help drive business decisions”

-Steve De Castro, Business Partner, Finance & Supply Planning, Certified Anaplaner, Del Monte Philippines.

“We have always done our budgeting and financial planning exercises through spread sheets. Linking and managing these disparate workbooks has proven to be very painful – voluminous, static and prone to errors.

Discovering Anaplan on Youtube has given our finance team a new and innovative perspective towards financial planning.

Armed with a two-day hands-on training, Anapedia and extensive inspiration from the Anaplan Community, we’re excited to move past spread sheet budgeting and build dynamic, flexible and powerful financial models.”

-Gayle Guzman, Finance Manager & FP&A Lead, Pilmico Foods Corporation (part of Aboitiz Group)

“After going through Anaplan’s guru training we realised that solution can compliment in many ways our existing systems and applications, and models can be built in-house. We decided to build an internal COE to design and deploy models across different business units. Guru training is a great start for one who wants to leverage the Anaplan platform for planning and modeling.”

Ronald Cantong, Snr Manager, Head of COE, JG Summit Inc. and certified Anaplaner

Still too good to be true? Then get hands on with the revolutionary platform that is disrupting planning in the enterprise during the complimentary Anaplan Guru Training day being held in the Philippines on June 30, 2016 at Bonifacio Global City. Manila.
