Asia’s Mixed Martial Arts organisation teams up with Yahoo

UFC fightingONE Fighting Championship, ONE FC, announced on September 24 that it has  teamed up with Yahoo as its official digital partner to bring in exclusive and behind-the-scenes content surrounding ONE FC, Asia’s largest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organisation.

The Southeast Asia-wide partnership will see Yahoo hosting exclusive ONE FC editorial and video content on a dedicated MMA section on the Yahoo Sports website, the organisation said.

Steady stream of ONE FC content like interviews with fighters, videos, match highlights including promotional trailers will be published with breaking news featured regularly on the webpage.  The content will also be translated to several different languages and customised according to each region.

The partnership significantly expands ONE FC’s digital reach, with access to Yahoo users in countries like Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam. For Yahoo, the partnership is another opportunity to deliver innovative and exclusive content experience to a passionate community of sports fans.

“This partnership is a game changer that will redefine online content for Yahoo and ONE FC. This partnership is the first time Yahoo has formed a partnership with a mixed martial arts organisation,” said ONE FC’s CEO Victor Cui.

“ONE FC has 90 per cent market share in Asia while Yahoo is one of the most recognised digital brands in the world and this monumental partnership will elevate mixed martial arts content to another stratosphere.”

“Yahoo has always been dedicated to providing the best sports coverage and this partnership takes us to a whole new level,” said Alan Soon, Managing Editor of Yahoo! South East Asia. “Thanks to our partnership with One FC, we’ll be closer to the action. We’ll have more exclusives and the best online experience for MMA fans in the region.”
