Bank Internasional Indonesia announces good earningsCorporate, consumer, and SME & commercial lending by Bank Internasional Indonesia Tbk led the Malaysian backed company (Maybank ) to post record growth at 41% compared to last year’s numbers.  The average bank in the industry grew by 24%. Customer deposits to BII also grew by 29%.

CEO Ridha Wirakusumah indicated it was his company’s smart investments in “network expansion, IT infrastructure as well as human capital [that] have set a strong foundation for the bank to focus on sustainable business growth.”  The bank’s overall loan portfolio rose from 40.3 trillion rupiah in last year’s comparable quarter to 57.3 trillion rupiah this year.
