Chinese-Greek student wins Miss World Singapore
Eighteen-year old Maria-Anna Zenieris, a Singapore student that is half-Chinese, half-Greek, won the Miss World Singapore beauty pageant held on July 28 in the city state.
She won the contest ahead of 14 other contestant in a gala final during which the girls paraded in swim and evening wear.
The criteria for the most beautiful Singaporean female were physical appearance (35 per cent), performance (25 per cent), talent (20 per cent) and live audience voting (20 per cent).
The new beauty queen recently graduated from United World College with a diploma in psychology, English and music. She will now represent Singapore in the Miss World finals in Jakarta on 28 September.
