Cityscape Egypt reveals exhibitor list
Cityscape Egypt, one of the leading real estate exhibitions in the Middle East to be held from April 9-12 in Cairo, is set to create a platform of open discussion on investment opportunities, challenges and proposed solutions to support growth in the Egyptian real estate sector. The event will also shed light on the recent political developments in the country and will play a role in driving the economy forward and creating an attractive investor climate.
The Egyptian real estate and construction sector is one of the most lucrative and attractive sectors for investors in the country and an important contributor to employment growth across Egypt. The sector’s contribution to the total GDP has reached 4.6 per cent and showed a growth rate of 5.9 per cent in 2013. The volume of investments that boosted the real estate sector during the last fiscal year amounted to about $5 billion. FDI in the sector is expected to increase dramatically by the end of the current fiscal year, boosted by a large deals including Majid Al Futtaim Properties’ recent announcement to increase its investments in Egypt by $2.2 billion.
