Diamond Exchange of Singapore awarded WFDB 2014 conference
The Diamond Exchange of Singapore (DES) has been selected by the World Federation of Diamond Bourses to host the 2014 World Diamond Congress. While Singapore is still a relatively small market in the diamond and jewelry industry, both it and Indonesia and Malaysia’s demand is growing rapidly.
The decision to award the 2014 Congress to the DES came at the annual President’s Meetings of the WFDB. DES president Suresh Hathiramani states that Singapore is a growing hub in the diamond industry in the region, and that the DES is “the face of the diamond trade.”
