Finding a toilet in Vietnam? No problem, get the app

Toilet finderA 17-year old student in Vietnam has developed what many people, including tourists, are grateful for: The first toilet finder application in both English and Vietnamese.

The app is available for Android and pulls the data from Google’s servers and uses GPS to tell the user where to go on a map. It always chooses the closest bathrooms from one’s location and work in any city of Vietnam, says developer Diep Bang Tran.

The application can be downloaded here (Vietnamese version here). However, it does not give the hygiene state of the toilets which is often poor in Vietnam. Toilet paper is also a real luxury in many washrooms and its better to bring one’s own.
