Fomento de Construcciones to bid with Commodore on UAE projectsSpanish firm Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas is continuing on its quest to derive more than 60% of its business from outside Spain by partnering with Abu Dhabi firm Commodore Contracting Company to bid on major infrastructure projects in the UAE together.  They expect to generate contracts valued between $200 and $700 million in the Emirates.

FCC has been responsible for several international stadium renovations, including Camp Nou in Barcelona.  They also were involved in rebuilding the longest tunnel in the world, the St Gotthard between Switzerland and Italy, and have bid for several projects in Qatar ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
