Iskander Malaysia development

Medini-iskandarIskander Malaysia has been undergoing a series of massive infrastructure, residential, and commercial construction, and has mixed results to boast of.  While the average cost of basic goods has increased in the area, so has the cost of land and labor, leading to supposed increases in income and standards of living for Johorean residents.  RM6.8 Billion has been pumped into the region through the federal and  state governments, and many international real estate companies have also invested in Iksander Malaysia.

Billions more will be funneled to the area in the coming years to finish current projects and embark upon new ones.  The residents of the area should benefit from increased land value and better employment opportunities, but the area is still lacking in enough skilled workers for the projects.  Developers plan to continue expansion into more rural areas after construction in the suburbs is complete.
