Kazakhstan and Malaysia E-Government services partnership

Kazakhstan and Malaysia E-Government services partnershipKazakhstan company National Information Technologies (NIT) JSC and Malaysia’s MY EG Services Bhd signed a memorandum of understanding to partner in computerizing Kazakhstan’s national infrastructure.  MYEG has been Malaysia’s e-government services provider since 2000, and will be embarking on their first international venture.  They hope to diversify their long-term earnings by adding additional streams of revenue.

MYEG will help to set up the technology infrastructure needed for NIT to manage Kazakhstan’s registration of domain names, government agencies, employees, and other governmental functions.  Both the Kazakhstan President, Nursultan Abishuly Nazarbayev, and the Malaysian Prime Minister witnessed the agreement while attending the World Islamic Economic Forum this week.
