Inside Sarawak 2013 report launched in Kuching
The Chief Minister of Sarawak, The Right Honourable Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, arrived for the launch of the new report Inside Sarawak 2013 by Inside Investor on June 12 to the Hilton Kuching hotel ballroom to address an audience of about 300 delegates, official and business personalities.
The keynote speech was held by Prof. Dr. Winai Dahlan, Founder and Director of the Halal Science Center at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. Prof. Dahlan’s speech touched upon the development of research in diverse halal products as well as the institute’s creation of a halal certification system.
Prof. Dahlan also presented breakthrough innovations in the halal industry such as WiFi-enabled mobile halal applications with which bar codes of halal products can be read and information about the product can be retrieved.
In his keynote speech, the Chief Minister thanked Inside Investor for putting Sarawak in the focus of global investors for the third year in the row. He gave an update on the key growth nodes in the state, the efforts of the state in energy supply and the progress of the Tanjung Manis Halal Hub.
