Saudi Turkey Joint Venture agreement

AgricultureSaudi Arabia and Turkey are set to announce a joint partnership to increase food production exports in Turkey to be sent to the kingdom.  According to the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s largest lender (National Commercial Bank), the deals between the two countries could exceed $600 billion over the next 20 years.  At least $3 billion will come from Planet Food World Co.

Investment will be mainly in the growing areas of manufacturing and agriculture. Turkey’s food production is increasing rapidly, and has seen growth explode from $90 million in exports in 2008 to $144 million in 2009.
